This paper provides a record and analysis of site in east-midland England, at which organic soil material are found between two Middle Pleistocene tills. is the first discovery its kind area, demonstrates unequivocally that region was glaciated on separate occasions, something has long been inferred articulated, but not actually demonstrated. The landforms, sediments soils studied with respect to their geomorphological, lithological, pedological, palaeobotanical structural properties. along structures indicate, sequentially, periglacial climate, period warm temperate weathering cool climate. Evaluation this evidence terms existing published work identifies number problems models suggests most likely model for glacial history part midland England an early glaciation represented only by trace erratics, Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 12 age moved across area from NW deposited chalk-free till, MIS 8 transported upper chalky till NE. © 2021 Authors.
